Presidential elections in Iran won Rouhani

Iranian authorities confirmed on Saturday that President Hassan Rouhani has made re-election in the first round of voting, according to Iranian television.

According to the interior Ministry of Iran, he won, gaining 23,53 million votes. His closest rival, Ebrahim Raisi received 15,78 million from just over 40 million votes cast. Thus, for Rouhani receives more than 50% of the electorate, and his re-election to the presidency.

Earlier Iranian state television, Rouhani has already announced the winner of the election. The part of rivals in the presidential race, congratulated him on his victory. It is expected that later on Saturday, Rouhani will deliver an address to the Iranian people.
