Ukraine has fulfilled the plan of visa liberalization with the countries of the European Union (EU). This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“We fulfilled the plan on visa liberalization, which included 144 points,” – said Poroshenko.
He recalled that on may 23 the Senate of the Netherlands opens the debate, and may 30 will vote on the issue bezveza for Ukraine.
“I really hope that it will be positive for Ukraine, the Netherlands and Europe. A significant part of the agreement is already in force,” – said Poroshenko.
Now Ukraine is in the stage of implementation of the Association agreement, said the President.
“One way or another in different directions of the ongoing sectoral integration with the EU. Everything we do brings us closer to the Copenhagen criteria. For the first time in our relationship with the EU we have reached a point where not only plan, but also summarize specific results of a long phase of our European integration,” – said Poroshenko.
The President noted that the EU share in Ukrainian foreign trade is growing, and today it is almost 43%.
