The advantage of a visa-free regime with the EU will benefit only those residents of the occupied territories of Donbass and Crimea, who are internal migrants, and the rest only after the return of these territories to the Ukraine. This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko at a press conference.
“I truly believe that they will benefit from visa-free regime. Then, when the Crimea and the Donbass will return to Ukraine, when Ukrainian sovereignty is restored over the Ukrainian Crimea and the Ukrainian Donbass. Now these benefits will be able to take advantage of temporarily displaced persons after carrying out the relevant procedure. We have a very responsible attitude to every biometric passport issued by the Ukrainian authorities,” – said the President.
We will remind, on may 11, the Council of the European Union approved the granting of a visa-free regime for Ukraine – it was the last of the European court, which had to make a decision on granting Ukraine the visa regime liberalization.
In turn, Petro Poroshenko next week to go to Brussels, where he will participate in the ceremony of signing the agreement on visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU. As he himself said, this event will occur on may 17, but bezviz will begin to act for Ukrainians around June 11.
