The US President Donald trump was found in one day with Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. The Ukrainian government at all levels reported on the landslide victory, claiming that the United States wants Russia to implement the Minsk agreements. And in Russia, too, stated that he had discussed the issue of Minsk. Is trump unlike Obama, de facto sacrificed completely at the mercy of Germany and France, the resolution of the conflict in the Donbass, decided to take up the confirmed by a resolution of the UN security Council agreement in person?
“We agreed to establish a working group on the implementation of the Minsk agreements”, — said at a press conference after talks with trump and Tillerson, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov. It is worth noting that regular consultations between the U.S. and Russia concerning settlement of the conflict in the Donbass are not something new. In fact, the new U.S. administration begins to define the role of the mediator in the negotiations on settlement of the crisis. At the same time on official U.S. participation in the multilateral negotiations on the Donbass can not speak yet. “The United States in the “channel format” is nothing more than a dream of the Ukrainian authorities. And the negotiations Klimkin on the expansion of the “Normandy format” has not yet yielded concrete results. But while all goes to the fact that there will be people in the new administration, responsible for the negotiations on the Donbass. As explained 112.ua the Director of the Institute for political analysis and international studies Sergey Tolstov, the US plans to appoint a special representative who will be responsible for negotiating a settlement of the crisis in the Donbass. “However, while specific names there’s a man there,” he says.
However, while it is not absolutely clear that changes in the implementation of the Minsk agreements and will move the process of peaceful settlement of the Donbas conflict from the dead point. Yet, despite numerous declarations of loyalty to Minsk, in fact things are there. Do not have even a ceasefire as a first condition for the realization of negotiations.

“Norman format”, and it is recognized by all its members, are not able to resolve the conflict in the Donbas. That is if there is some aggravation, then they can call each other and talk,” — said the expert.
Still the question remains, how to bring life to the peaceful settlement in the Donbass, how to force all parties to implement the agreement. The United States only represent the strengthening of its activity in the negotiations, however, it seems, a specific roadmap will only be acquired on the basis of the implementation of the Minsk agreements. The talks in the “Normandy format” paused in a few months.
