Commander Brigadier General Hossein Dehgan, the defense Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived in Moscow to participate in the 6th international security forum, and to participate in tripartite negotiations with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu and with the representative of the Syrian military.
According to the news Agency IRNA, the commander General Dehgan, who arrived in Moscow at the official invitation of his Russian counterpart, was met at Moscow airport by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia Mehdi Sanaei and Russian official delegation.
According to the plan of Dehgan stay in Moscow, the defense Minister of Iran had, on the sidelines of the Moscow conference on security, to meet with his Russian counterpart and discuss the latest development of bilateral relations and regional and international agenda.
Participation in the 6th Moscow international conference, which session will last for 2 days and devoted to the major problems of the region and world politics, as well as a statement at the summit with the report, in the presence of other participants in the forum presented by the defense Ministers and military experts from different countries of the world, among the other points of the program of the visit of the commander Dekhana in Moscow.
Also the defense Minister of Iran, and the delegation of this country in the framework of the international forum will hold several meetings and consultations with colleagues from other countries, which will discuss the most important issues of bilateral relations and the regional situation.
In Moscow security conference, traditionally attended by Ministers of defense and their assistants, chiefs of staffs of armed forces and military experts and specialists from different countries of the world. And thus, the forum provides participants a great opportunity to discuss various issues of cooperation in the sphere of defense and security.

The participation of Iran in the international security conference in Russia attach great importance, because the two countries have adopted a common strategy on combating terrorism and were able to prevent the spread of the terrorist threat and the emergence of new centers of terrorism in the region. In this regard, it is important that Russia a priority in its middle East policy is to prevent the spread of extremism and terrorism in the surrounding, its constituent republics in the North Caucasus.
On the other hand, the presence of a delegation from Iran at this international forum, the main issue in the present period is undoubtedly the fight against terrorism, it is an indication that the two countries, Russia and Iran have the will and determination to cooperate in the field of defense and military region, and to develop further regional cooperation. The result of their common position on the problems of the middle East region is the emergence of a unified Russian-Iranian strategy to counter challenges and threats, the main of which is terrorism.
