Military pensions will not increase from October – Reva

Increase of pensions to military pensioners as of 1 October this year will not happen due to the introduction of several new laws. This was stated by Minister of social policy Andrei Reva, reports NewsOne.

“On the first of October will not be increased pension” — said Reva, when asked about increasing the amount of pension payments to retirees.

According to him, modernization of pensions from the first of October awaits those retirees who receive benefits according to the law “On compulsory state pension insurance”.

Minister of social policy noted that the law on payments to military pensioners of the Ministry will develop soon after the development of the previously specified bill.

“We expect that this law (on compulsory state pension insurance, as amended) will be adopted by Parliament until July. Once it is passed, the next bill that we are developing and plan to submit for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada before the end of the year — this, again, is the law which applies to servicemen,” — said the head of the Ministry of social policy.

Recall that in the framework of pension reform, the government intends to increase pensions from 1 October. According to Reva, Ukraine is 99% agreed on a pension reform with International monetary Fund mission.
