At the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” with the new school year starts innovative training programme “artificial intelligence System”. Initiated the launch of the course on artificial intelligence was made by Lviv it cluster, according to “Platform”.
The new program will be a combined traditional academics combined with interactive practice. In particular, students will learn from lectures by leading scientists and professors of foreign universities. The new program is designed for a hundred students to teach it will be in Ukrainian and English languages.
The curriculum for the program, “Artificial intelligence,” developed by a working group of 40 people, composed of experts of the Lviv IT-companies and teachers of the Polytechnic. “The training program will be more academic, mathematical, but, of course, will be combined with practical exercises. Artificial intelligence study in all major universities of the world. Now this area of research is actively used in the industry,” says the project’s initiator, Professor, Department of information systems and networks, Lviv Polytechnic Natalia Shakhovskaya.
The first graduates of this program leave Lviv Polytechnic in four years. “Now is the perfect conditions to create such a program in Ukraine. There is a great demand for experts in artificial intelligence – it will be the most popular direction in the coming years”, – says a teacher of Lviv Polytechnic and the head of the educational direction of the IT Cluster zenovii Veres.
