Team trump’s developing foreign policy, went through all the behaviours in Syria — to overthrow the regime, the intensification of assistance to the rebels, the answer is to attack innocent civilians. But under pressure all agree with the idea of “defeating the Islamic state (is prohibited organisation in Russia — approx. ed.)”, as expressed by Secretary Rex Tillerson.
Allow me to throw fire wood in this confusion, asking, “Why?”.
Why now challenge the United States must be the victory over the “Islamic state” in Syria? Of course, ISIS is disgusting and should be eradicated. But whether it is now in our interests — to focus on defeating ISIS in Syria?
Let’s analyze the logic: there are actually two manifestations of the IG.
The first — “the virtual Islamic state”. It is diabolical, cruel, amorphous organization, spreading its ideology through the Internet. Its adherents are scattered throughout Europe and the Muslim world. In my opinion, it is in this manifestation of it more dangerous for us, because he found a way to develop the Sunni jihadist ideology that inspires and allows found themselves on the margins of society and consider themselves undervalued Muslims from London to Paris and Cairo to restore their dignity with the help of high-profile murders of the innocent.
Another manifestation of the “territorial ISIS” still control the Western part of Iraq and a large area of Syria. The goal is to overthrow the Assad regime in Syria along with its allies Russia, Iran and Hezbollah, Pro-Iranian siisti to overthrow the regime in Iraq and replace one and the other Caliphate.
Problem number 1. Virtual IG with its network around the world is not going anywhere, even if you win territorial. Thus it can be even more dangerous trying to hide the defeat territorial Caliphate before the sworn enemies of Shiite Iran, Hezbollah, pashitskii troops to Iraq, prosiasis the Assad regime in Damascus, and Russia, not to mention the USA.
Problem number 2. The US goal in Syria is to create sufficient pressure on Assad, Russia, Iran and Hezbollah to get them to agree to negotiations on power-sharing with moderate Sunnis to get rid of Assad in power. To do this, NATO could establish a zone free from flying around Idlib province, where rebels opposing the Assad regime and Assad recently used chemical weapons. But Congress and the American public to treat it with caution.
So what else can we do? We could greatly increase our military assistance to the Syrian rebels, giving suitable anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, which would be a threat to helicopters and fighter jets from Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and the Syrian army, dropping the last of the blood, and force them to negotiate. That’s fine with me.
What else? The US could just stop fighting with ISIS in Syria, allowing Russia, Iran and Hezbollah with Assad to understand ourselves. In the end, it is they who have flooded Syria, and not the Americans. Let them fight on two fronts: against the moderate rebels from one side and IG on the other. If we defeat ISIS, we only relieve the pressure on the Assad regime, Iran, Russia and Hezbollah and give them the opportunity to direct all their forces against the rebels in Idlib, to not have to share power.
I don’t understand. President trump offers to defeat the Islamic state — and then begin to help moderate rebels. Why? When trump ever did something just like that? When, during the last deal, trump has agreed to voluntarily clean up toxic waste — for free — before we agreed on a price with the owner of a neighboring Golf course?
Now is the time Trump be trump is unpredictable and cynical. Now the Islamic state — the biggest threat for Iran, Hezbollah, Russia and Iran prosiecka groups, because ISIS is a Sunni terrorist organization that is playing by the same dirty rules as Russia with Iran.
Trump should be willing to defeat ISIS in Iraq. But in Syria? Not free, not now. In Syria, the headache trump needs to keep Assad, Iran, Hezbollah and Russia. Just as we forced the militants of the Mujahideen to fight Russia in Afghanistan.
Of course, in the long term we want to destroy ISIS everywhere, but the only way to win and get to stay in the grave, to replace the moderate Sunnis in Syria and Iraq. And it will, if only to give the Sunnis some of the power in Iraq and Syria. This, in turn, is possible if we can make Assad, Iran, Russia and Hezbollah to share power.
And while all this is happening, where Twitter trump when you need him? Every day he needs to tweet: “Russia, Iran and Hezbollah have become the defenders of the Syrian regime that gassed children! Children! Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and Assad is the driving force behind the gas attacks. Sad.”
Don’t let them down! We must give to understand what they have become — accomplices of Syria using gas against children. Believe it or not, but they do not like this brand. Trump needs to strategically use its global Twitter stream. Barack Obama never did. Trump should create this noise every day. This will create the leverage.
Syria — not a club for knitting. There everyone plays dirty, craftily and ruthlessly. So, where is trump when you need him?
