Klimkin, Mogherini discussed the situation in the Donbas and “bezviz”

Today the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met in Brussels with EU high representative for foreign Affairs and security policy Federica Mogherini, reports the press service of the foreign Ministry.

The main topic of the meeting was the aggravation of the situation in the Donbas, where Russia is carrying out provocations through controlled militants and entered the Russian currency on the occupied territories.

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine stressed that these steps are a deliberate violation of the Minsk agreements, which require a strong reaction from the European Union.

In conversation with Mogherini, foreign Minister of Ukraine expressed hope for a speedy completion of the internal procedures of the EU to provide visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens, as well as the ratification of the Association Agreement.

The Department of consular service of the MFA of Ukraine reported that Ukraine will receive a visa-free regime with the EU by the summer.

The European Parliament must approve its decision on 5 April, and the Council of the EU is roughly on may 11. If to Ukraine all goes well, then plan a trip to Europe without visas Ukrainians can after 11-12 June.
