The Cabinet of Ministers abruptly canceled the visit of the Minister of infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan in the United States on the Ukrainian-American business forum in new York. This was announced by the Minister.
“Today was supposed to fly to the United States… Reason for trip cancellation is simple: someone in the Cabinet decided that as from Vinnitsa to Washington DC 7799 miles, there is nothing to ride in this wilderness, and their permission was not given to me…” – he wrote on his page in Facebook.
According to the Minister, preparation for the Ukrainian-American business forum in new York, which will be held March 6-7, lasted three months, was also scheduled about 20 meetings.
“In particular, with the U.S. business, such as General electric, caterpillar. Very sorry that you will not be negotiating with Tesla and Fund global infrastructure partners,” he added.
Omeljan expressed hope that the leaders of the transportation committees in the Senate and House of representatives, the leadership of the ministries of transport, Finance, trade, U.S. Department of state “with the understanding of the situation.”
