The Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stated that the representatives of the European Union, unlike Russia, oppose the extension of the “channel format” at the expense of the United States of America. About it in the state Duma said the Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov.
“To expand the “channel format” at the expense of the United States? The Obama administration sought to this, we were not against, the Europeans do not want” – said Ryabkov.
According to him, “not just in U.S. relations with the outside world.”
Earlier, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin denied the existence of the agreement to expand the “Normandy format” talks on the situation in Ukraine by the USA, which was allegedly reached on the sidelines of the security conference in Munich.
