From the blockade of Donbass in the first place affected the people on both sides of the contact line. This was stated by the head of the EU delegation in Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“Of course we worry because of the blockade of the railway, which occurs in the last two weeks. We know that this situation is difficult. We know that there is a lot of smuggling on the contact line,” said Mingarelli.
He also noted that due to this situation primarily affected the civilian population on both sides of the conflict.
“But what is happening over the past weeks indicates that the first victim – a population that is on both sides of the line of collision. And this is something that should not happen,” – said the diplomat.
Recall that the blockade continues for more than two weeks. Upon blocking of railway lines in the Luhansk oblast Prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings, and members of Parliament need to immediately convene the national security Council.
In turn the Prime Minister-the Minister Vladimir Groysman declared that will not allow the embargo to organize the fight against the Ukrainian people. The Prime Minister reminded that two weeks ago people risked their lives to restore the operation of enterprises in the town.
