On February 9 territorial service centers of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine it is possible to obtain an international driving permit, the press service of the interior Ministry. Earlier MREO such services are not provided.
An international driving permit is issued on the spot, without examination on the basis of the national driving permit with a validity of 3 years. The cost of the service will be — 34 UAH 16 cents.
To get an international driver’s license must apply in a strategic location of the territorial service center of the Ministry of interior, regardless of the place of registration and provide the following documents:
- To show the administrator on the place of original national driving license;
- Passport of citizen of Ukraine;
- Passport of citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad;
- Photo 3,5×4,5 cm on matte paper.
“By international standards, it looks like a small cardboard book. Thanks to him, expands the list of countries where citizens will be able to use vehicles, and it is of great importance for citizens who are abroad”, — said the head of the Main centre of the Ministry of internal Affairs Vladislav Crickley.
This certificate will be useful for the Ukrainians, who are working or temporarily living abroad or love to travel by car. With this document expands the list of countries where you can use vehicles.
If Ukrainian law valid on the territory of countries that have acceded to the Vienna Convention on road traffic of 1968, the international also recognized in countries that have signed the Geneva Convention on road traffic of 1949 (for example, in the United States and Canada).
