The Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu said that the situation in the East of Ukraine must be resolved peacefully. He said this at a joint press conference with Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin.
On the question of Turkey’s position regarding Ukraine and Russia and Turkey who gives more preference, the Minister said that in international relations, first of all, there is a problem between Ukraine and Russia, and in particular on the Eastern Ukrainian border.
“We want this issue to be resolved peacefully using diplomacy. And we want to be fully carried out and applied to the Minsk agreement,” said Cavusoglu.
According to him, Turkey has put a lot of effort to have it resolved peacefully. “We certainly support the territorial integrity, political integrity of Ukraine and state this without exception on all platforms. And we want it therefore resolved this issue with the preservation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine”, – said the foreign Minister of Turkey.
He added that Ukraine and Turkey at the bilateral level have a great relationship.
