A Day of remembrance and reconciliation 8 may 2017 Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin put the blue-and-yellow wreath at the memorial to the Unknown soldier at Arlington national cemetery in Washington to commemorate those who gave their lives defending their land. It is reported by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

“A touching wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington cemetery – not a formality,” said the Minister.

“She had symbolic significance as the Ukrainians and Americans have much in common in the struggle for freedom and justice. In the same way as in the US, in Ukraine, we respect all the heroes who defended the native land”, – he added.

We will remind, the President Petro Poroshenko stated that Russia felt Ukraine has the army and the “acceptable price” for its aggression will be gone.
