The head of the Lithuanian foreign Ministry announced the terms of “bezveze” Ukraine

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevicius has not ruled out that the European Union may grant the right to visa-free travel for citizens of Ukraine this spring. He stated that before the meeting of foreign Ministers of EU countries in Brussels.

“I think it could happen this spring,” he said.

Recall, the European Parliament supported the mechanism of suspension “bezveze”.

According to the decision of the Council of the EU, visa liberalization with Ukraine should enter into force simultaneously with the introduction of a new mechanism of the EU for security. It provides for the possibility of suspending the visa-free regime of the EU with third countries.

In this earlier on the official website of the European Parliament indicative date of approval of the EU visa regime for Ukrainians appeared date 3 April 2017. The press service of the EP stated that the vote Evroparlamenta to approve visa liberalization with the EU for Ukrainians was not delayed until April 2017, and the date incorrect. Later on the Parliament’s website disappeared hearing date “bezveze”.

EP President Martin Schulz earlier said he hopes to achieve in January of the final agreements with the Council of the EU on visa-free travel for Ukrainians.

EU Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos expressed the hope that “bezviz” for Ukraine and Georgia will start working in early spring.

Also recall that the European Parliament has supported the provision of “bezveze” of Georgia.
