In Russia normally refer to the meeting of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the American leader of Donald trump, if it will contribute to the settlement of the conflict in the East of Ukraine. This was stated press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, reports “RIA Novosti”.
On the question of what the Kremlin is thinking, if trump will first meet with Poroshenko and not Putin, he replied that he would be pleased if it will help stabilize the situation in the Donbas.
“We have no right to comment on the priorities of the foreign policy of other countries, including the United States of America. This is the first. And if such meeting in any case in some way contribute to the settlement of this “domestic” conflict, we will only be glad”, – said Peskov.
New year’s eve the Deputy head of the presidential Administration Konstantin Eliseev said that the meeting between Petro Poroshenko and Donald trump can be held in February 2017, as it is this month preparing a visit of the Ukrainian leader.
In turn Poroshenko himself said in an interview with Bloomberg that agreed to meet with Donald trump during their telephone conversation.
