Israeli Prime Minister flies to the US to meet with trump

The meeting of U.S. President Donald trump with the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu will take place on 15 Feb in Washington. This was stated by White house spokesman Sean Spicer, reports Fox News.

According to him, trump hopes to “discuss further the strategic, technological, military and intelligence cooperation.”

It is reported that on Sunday, Netanyahu said that the American Embassy in Israel should move from tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

As you know, during the election campaign, Donald trump said that if elected President of the United States will achieve official recognition of Jerusalem as the capital.

Note that both Israel and the Palestinian authority officially consider Jerusalem their capital and do not recognize such a right for the other side, although Israeli sovereignty over the Eastern part of the city is not recognized neither by the UN nor a significant part of the international community and the authorities of the Palestinian autonomy have never been in Jerusalem.

Recall, even before the inauguration of Donald trump promised to help Israel after the inauguration.

Recall the UN security Council adopted a resolution requiring Israel to abandon the construction of settlements in the Palestinian territories. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused the US that, when voting in the security Council abstained, that the resolution was initiated by Washington.
