In the framework of the working visit to Berlin by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has held a meeting with representatives of German business circles. This reports the press service of the Ukrainian leader.
The head of state briefed on the progress of Ukraine in implementing reforms.
Special emphasis was placed on stabilization of the macroeconomic situation in the country, the progress in cleaning up the banking system and deregulation, major efforts in reforming the energy sector and anti-corruption.
According to the President, an extremely important task, which is the Ukrainian government is to create conditions for safe investment in Ukraine.
The President stressed that together with the launch of deep and comprehensive free trade area between Ukraine and the European Union opened new and promising opportunities for expansion of cooperation between Kyiv and Berlin.
The head of state noted the strong political will to strengthen the bilateral trade and investment cooperation between Ukraine and Germany.
Petro Poroshenko invited German companies to actively invest in Ukraine, and noted the potential for the development and strengthening of the Ukrainian-German business cooperation.
The meeting was attended by representatives of leading companies in the banking industry, the telecommunications industry, as well as representatives of construction and agricultural companies.
