Statue of the stars of Barcelona and the Argentina national team soccer Lionel Messi set in Buenos Aires, became the object of vandalism.
A bronze figure of five-time winner of the “Golden ball”, which was installed last summer as part of the campaign “don’t leave”, to ensure that Messi was in Argentina, was discovered without her top.
“Statue of Lionel Messi became the object of vandalism, in which the sculpture was left without its upper part. Currently, work is underway for its restoration”, – reads the statement of the government of Buenos Aires.
The statue of Messi is installed on the alley of fame of the Argentinean sports a number of sculptures of other famous Argentine athletes.
