For replenishment of the state budget it is necessary to revise the tax on winning the lottery in favor of such increase. This was stated on air of TV channel “112 Ukraine” people’s Deputy from BPP Sergey Berezenko.
According to him, the rate on lottery winnings is too low and should be raised.
“I think that the amount that is offered, 18% of the tax, it is too low and it should be at least 30-40%. If we want to have a budget, this is where you can take in excisable goods. Such as alcohol, tobacco, everything we raised in the law 5368, so it is necessary to raise money from the lottery,” said Berezenko.
As reported, on October 9, 2016 national registry of records of Ukraine (NRR) for the first time officially recorded the largest number of millionairesthat have emerged thanks to state lotteries.
