The national anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine in 2016, made his return to the state companies of more than 100 million UAH, also prevented the theft of more than 0.5 billion UAH.
“For 2016, thanks to the efforts of NABU to the accounts of the public companies managed to return more than $ 100 million to prevent the theft of more than half a billion UAH”, – the press service of NABOO.
The Bureau also described the highlights of their activities: the detention of the Odessa judges-arrow “gas case” Alexander Onishchenko, the detainees bribes officials and the Prosecutor General.
Previously Director of the NABU Sytnyk in comments to the Agency “Interfax-Ukraine” reported that in 2016 the detectives Bureau is investigating more than 280 criminal proceedings, the damages to the state which amounted to more than UAH 82.5 billion. Thus 44 proceedings pending in courts in respect of nine people guilty verdict entered into force.
“Thanks to the discovery by detectives of the Bureau of corruption schemes in state enterprises managed to prevent the theft of more than UAH 580 million and return on account of the state companies of more than 100 million UAH”, – informed Sytnik.
