The Pechersky district court of Kiev arrested the residential house, apartment and vehicle fugitive ex-President Viktor Yanukovych. It is reported politeka.net with reference to data of the Unified register of pre-trial investigation of Ukraine (ERDR).
“Yanukovych’s property was arrested due to the fact that the former head of the state is in the circle of suspects in the implementation of the offences provided for by part one of article 111 UK of Ukraine – “Treason” and four articles of the Criminal code of the Ukrainian state”, – says the publication.
In accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine article 111 of the criminal code of Ukraine provides for the confiscation of property. As a result, the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine filed a lawsuit about the possibility of arrest of property of Yanukovych which it is registered.
“Themis in full satisfied the petition of Prosecutor and seized the above items and real estate of the former President, who fled from Ukraine during protests on the Maidan”, – the newspaper notes.
