Ukraine has reduced natural gas consumption in 2016 by 4%, using 30.3 billion cubic meters.
About it reports Department of public relations of “Ukrtransgaz”.
To cover requirements of domestic consumption was used by the natural gas imported from Europe – 11.1 billion cubic meters and domestic production – 20.2 billion cubic meters.
Compared to the previous year, domestic production rose 1.5% and imports decreased by almost two times.
The transit of natural gas through the gas transportation system of Ukraine to the EU increased by 23%.
Recall, Ukraine intends by 2020, switch to maximum gas extraction and gas.
