“Ukrzaliznytsya” from mid-July started selling tickets for every seat in the long-distance trains from Kiev and to Kiev. Passengers learned about it during the trip. Earlier, the Cabinet had allowed Railways to sell 50% of tickets in trains and to seat passengers in a checkerboard pattern. Thus, between the passengers had to remain a safe distance of 1.5 m. However, since mid-July, “Ukrzaliznytsya” suddenly began to sell the remaining 50% of the tickets. Passengers who had planned the trip in advance did not warn about this. His solution, the company explains that the sale of all tickets allowed the Kyiv city state administration.
“The restoration of the normal sale of tickets was made possible thanks to the agreement with the Kyiv city state administration”, – stated in the message of “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
Passenger Love Ya told me that buying tickets in a compartment for herself and her husband for a month and a half before the trip. Then in one compartment was only upper and lower berths, the other two places, “quarantined”. That will have to go with two people they know are already in train.

Ivanka H from Uzhgorod lucky – she at the last moment managed to buy two “quarantine” place. She and her husband and two children in advance bought four tickets from Uzhgorod to Kiev.
“Since the eldest son is already 6 years old, I bought a ticket for him in another compartment, to him was the place but still went with us in the compartment,” says the woman.
That “Ukrzaliznytsia” will place someone else Ivanka H found out by accident when I decided to check the tickets and noticed that “quarantine” was suddenly put up for sale.
“The four of us (two young children) and strangers in a closed space, and pandemic …. I quickly bought those two seats, a ticket son handed over, while losing 50 UAH for the return,” adds Ivanka.
