The national Bank calculated the value of the Ukrainian currency against the dollar and Euro
On Thursday, July 16, the national Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has calculated the official rate of hryvnia against major foreign currencies:
1 USD – UAH 27,12;
1 Euro – 31,03 UAH;
10 Russian rubles – UAH 3,83.
Thus, compared to yesterday’s values the dollar fell two cents after growth for five cents in the previous banking day. While “green” remains above the psychological mark of 27 hryvnia. During the week from 9 to 16 July, the national currency weakened against the U.S. at 17 cents.
The Euro thus rose by 16 cents, after rising 18 cents in the previous banking day. Eurocurrency for the first time since 24 March 2019 climbed above the psychological mark of UAH 31. Such appreciation of the Euro currency due to the situation on world markets, explained in comments to the website “Today” senior analyst “Alpari” Vadim Iosub.
“By Wednesday evening (July 15. – Ed.) Euro on the interbank market was trading around 31,04 hryvnia. Rapid growth of the Euro is associated with the growth of the European currency against other world currencies. In particular, the dollar. So, on Wednesday the currency pair EUR-USD has reached the level 1,145, updating the highest since March 10. However, after this pair has corrected down, and in the beginning of the American session dropped to 1,1420. If the correction of the Euro on the world market continues, it may be interrupted and its growth against the hryvnia,” – said Iosub.
The value of 10 Russian rubles has increased by a penny.
