The Minister of foreign Affairs of Italy Angelino Alfano said that his country is not going to recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea. He stated this after a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Pavel Klimkin, reports “RIA Novosti”.
According to him, the Italian authorities share the position of the countries of the European Union on the occupied Peninsula.
“If we admitted it, it would be news. Our position remains the same, we do not recognize the annexation in any form. This is a clear position, shared by the EU, the “Big seven” and any other format,” said Alfano.
Recall, as stated in the French foreign Ministry, France is concerned about the escalation of the conflict in the Donbass with the use of heavy weapons by militants, and urged Russia to implement the Minsk agreements.
