Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy paruby at the morning meeting on Friday declared a closed 5-th session of the Ukrainian Parliament of the eighth convocation. About the speaker announced in the presence of a small number of MPs after the “Hour of questions to the government”.
“We did a lot, but in front of us, which is very important, there are big challenges – the task of the Ukrainian victory, the liberation of Ukrainian lands from the Russian occupiers. Work will win”, – said the speaker before the official closing of the 5th session of the eighth convocation.
He noted that the Verkhovna Rada did not allow to destabilize the Ukrainian Parliament and the situation in Ukraine.
“The fact that we are not allowed to provoke a confrontation and destabilization – it belongs to all,” – said paruby.
He added that during the 5th session of the eighth convocation, the deputies adopted the 106 laws in General, 16 and 60 ratifications of the bill in the first reading.
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada drew attention to the fact that the Parliament has done a lot for judicial reform.
“We continued judicial reform, and the law “On high Council of justice” has become a symbol of the fact that we are firmly committed to reform of the judicial system,” he said.
Among the merits of the Parliament speaker also said the adoption of the state budget in 2017, “the budget of the warring Ukraine”.
According to the agenda of the Parliament on Friday, was planned the announcement of parliamentary inquiries and the section “Miscellaneous”, during which the performances of the parliamentarians from the podium.
On Friday, “traditionally” the Verkhovna Rada has not considered any questions and hold a vote.
We recall that the opening of the sixth session will take place on 7 February.
As reported, first Deputy Chairman of the faction “popular front” Andrew Teteruk said that the issue of the exclusion of non-faction people’s Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko from the parliamentary Committee on security and defence will be considered by Parliament next plenary week.
