The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine is studying the possibility of a meeting of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and U.S. President Donald trump at the NATO summit in may. This was announced by first Deputy foreign Minister Vadym Prystayko.
“In fact, it will not be a summit and mini-summit (NATO. – Ed.) and maybe not in Brussels,” said Pristayko.
He noted that a mini-summit of NATO can pass “at the point associated with the G7”.
“If there is such a thing, we are planning various options and use (as a place – ed.), where our presidents (Poroshenko and trump. – Ed.) must meet. I mean meeting with President trump. All possible options are being worked out by us,” said Pristayko.
He added that the format of the meeting and venue will be determined by its organizers.
Previously the foreign Ministry of Ukraine reported that no definite date of the meeting of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and U.S. President Donald trump, the search for mutually acceptable formats and possibilities.
