The Cabinet has calculated the impact of coronaries to the economy of Ukraine

The government did not advise to wait for a quick end to recession

The fall of the Ukrainian economy in 2020 may reach 4 to 8%, which will serve as a quarantine and pandemic coronavirus. This is stated in the presentation of the stimulus program, which the Cabinet approved earlier in the meeting.

In the Cabinet warned that we should not expect a very quick end to the crisis.

“The economic recession will not end along with the suspension of the spread of coronavirus, and the decline in GDP could continue for years. <…> According to IMF forecasts, the expected downturn in the world economy by 3%. In turn, Ukraine is traditionally more vulnerable to economic shocks: GDP could fall by 4-8% compared to the year 2019″, – stated in the materials of the Cabinet.
