The presidents of Ukraine and Bulgaria to discuss bilateral cooperation

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the President of Bulgaria rumen Radev at the meeting in new York discussed the issues of bilateral economic cooperation and collaboration in matters of humanitarian policy and the protection of national minorities, the press service of the Ukrainian President.

In addition, during the meeting Poroshenko thanked Radeva for the position of Bulgaria in the maintenance of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and counter Russian aggression.

“The head of state also noted the consistent position of Bulgaria in the policy of EU sanctions against Russia. He stressed that appropriate sanctions should be maintained until the restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine… the President Poroshenko thanked the Bulgarian side for its active support to the European integration of Ukraine, in particular concerning the ratification of the Association Agreement and visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens. The hope was expressed for a continuation of effective cooperation between the two countries during the presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria in the EU Council in 2018”, – stated in the message on the website of the President.

At the end of the meeting, Poroshenko invited Radeva to visit Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Poroshenko and Tusk discussed the situation in the Donbass and sanctions against Russia.
