The General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko declares that the highest court finally denied the ex-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin in the restoration in this post.
“Today the Supreme court refused to dismiss Lutsenko and reinstatement Shokin”, – Lutsenko said, speaking in Parliament on Tuesday.

As reported, in March this year, Volkov filed a lawsuit in Vasu about recognition illegal and about cancellation of decisions about his dismissal and restoration of administrative positions.
In a press-service Vasu explained that Shokin asks to recognize illegal and to cancel the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of giving consent to his dismissal, as well as the relevant decrees of the President. In addition, the ex-attorney General asks to restore it “to an administrative post”.
Vasu April 20 denied Shokina petition for renewal of filing a lawsuit and left his claim to the Verkhovna Rada and the President without consideration: “the petition of the plaintiff to renew the term of court to refuse. Administrative action Shokin … leave without consideration”.
29 March 2016 the Verkhovna Rada gave its consent to the dismissal of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Prosecutor General Shokina. 3 APR Poroshenko has signed a decree dismissing him from his post. In may of the same year the Prosecutor General of Ukraine was appointed Lutsenko.
