The date of the meeting of the leaders of “Norman four” will be determined when there will be progress in matters of security in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and freeing the hostages. This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin in the air of one of Ukrainian TV channels.
According to Klimkin, the meeting of leaders “channel format” should be preceded by a telephone conversation, during which to discuss the results that can be agreed upon at the meeting.
“And I very much hope that all the contacts that I talk about – which will be next week, a week – should give us new momentum,” – said the head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry.
We will remind, the President of France Emmanuel macron plans to hold a meeting in the “Normandy format” before the G20 summit, which is scheduled for July 7-8 in Hamburg. Macron is convinced that negotiations with colleagues in the “channel format” will allow him to better understand at what stage is the settlement of the Ukrainian issue.
