The people’s Deputy from BPP Oksana Yurynets called on the mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovy solve the problem with garbage in his city or to retire. She stated today at the plenary session in Parliament, reports Ukrainian Pravda.
“Andrey Ivanovich, immediately solve the problem with garbage or voluntarily resign. Yes, resign, because you can’t do that,” he said.
According to her, in pre-election promises, the Garden said that cleaning the city from garbage will be his priority, but he never built a processing plant.
“In the year since the tragedy in Hrybovychi Lviv city Council has spent 350 million to transport waste wherever possible throughout Ukraine, despite the fact that the government has allocated 14 sites (for construction of a complex for processing of solid waste, EDS.), however, the Lviv authorities for some reason chose not take advantage of them”, – said the Yurynets.
We will remind, recently the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman addressed to Andriy Sadovy with the requirement to finally resolve the issue of garbage. He said that is not going to bend through the knee of the local self-government in favor of the Lviv mayor.
