Parubiy called on the President of the Italian Senate to strengthen sanctions against Russia

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy met with the President of the Italian Senate Pietro Grasso. This was reported in the press service of the Parliament.

“In the beginning of the meeting Andriy Parubiy appreciated the efforts of Italy in support of Ukraine. The Chairman of Ukraine’s Parliament said Pietro Grasso that Putin’s Russia does not Minsk agreement. By the occupation troops in the Donbass constantly continue shelling Ukrainian military positions and civilians. Therefore, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada called on the Italian counterpart to strengthen sanctions against the Russian aggressors”, – stated in the message.

Andriy paruby said Pietro Grasso that he, along with Chairman of the chamber of Deputies Laura Boldrini has signed a Memorandum of understanding between the Parliament and the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Italy.

The Chairman of the Parliament said Pietro Grasso on the progress of reforms in Ukraine. One of the priority reforms, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada called anti-corruption, as “without overcoming corruption to talk about European integration of Ukraine is impossible.”
