The Cabinet has allocated money to local elections

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated 12.9 million hryvnia, the Central election Commission (CEC) for the local elections in 2017. That is stated in the order No. 326, reported the press service of the Cabinet.

Funds are being reallocated from the budget program “elections of people’s deputies of Ukraine” in support of the program “Subvention from the state budget to local budgets for holding elections of deputies of local councils and rural, settlement, mayors”, say in the government.

The Cabinet says that the decision is necessary, as envisaged for 2017 in the state budget under the program of the local elections is not enough, and additional funding will help ensure the proper level of the electoral process.

Earlier, the CEC requested increase in funding. According to estimates of the Commission for local elections must 358,9 million.
