“Retrieved the body of a third victim of state of emergency in Volgograd is an elderly woman born in 1931, she lived in one of apartments of this house,” said kunitskaya.
Earlier, the head of regional investigatory management SK the Russian Federation Mikhail Muzraev told reporters at the site of emergency that established the identity of two of the three victims. “The identity of two victims is established – this Volgogradas worker and a resident of one of the apartments. There are still the victim, whose identity is established”, – he said. But on Tuesday evening the head of yurts of EMERCOM of Russia Igor Oder told journalists that under the rubble “may be two more victims”, thus the number of victims of gas explosion in Volgograd may increase to four.

In Volgograd in the afternoon of 16 may, there was a gas explosion in the apartment on the first floor of a four gasified brick house. As a result, were destroyed 12 apartments, collapsed ceilings and part of the external wall of the third staircase, damaged interior walls. Three people were killed, 11 were injured, buildings were evacuated 40 people. After the explosion in the region was introduced emergency mode.
The cause of PE, according to preliminary data, was the damage to the pipeline in the illicit connection to the conduit, and the work was done by the company who did not have their permission. The investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case under article “performance of works or rendering services not meeting safety requirements” of the criminal code.
