Russian singer Yulia Samoylova is still Russia will send to Eurovision, but in the following year. This was stated by TASS, the General Director “the First channel” Konstantin Ernst.
He said that it had already agreed with the European broadcasting Union.
“We discussed this with the European broadcasting Union, and they know that Russia will participate Yulia Samoylova,” said Ernst, answering a question on possibility of participation of Russia in “Eurovision-2018”.
As it became known yesterday, the European broadcasting Union confirmed that Russia will not take part in the Eurovision song contest in 2017. According to the organizers, was proposed two solutions to the problem: the video feed or replace artist from Russia.
We will remind, on 22 March, the security Service of Ukraine forbade entry into Ukraine Samoilova for her performances in the occupied Crimea.
The Eurovision song contest-2017 will be held in Kyiv from 9 to 13 may.
