Trump deals a military strike on Syria

US military strike on the positions of Syrian government forces in response to a chemical attack against the civilian population, taken by the Syrian army at the beginning of this week.

As stated by the representatives of the US government, by order of the President of Donald trump American warships released 50-60 cruise missiles “Tomahawk” at the air base the Syrian government forces, which were the planes that carried out the chemical attack.

These strikes were the first military operation undertaken by Washington against the regime of President Bashar al-during the civil war, going on in this country for six years, and indicate a significant escalation of the US military campaign in the region, which can be interpreted by the government of Syria as an aggressive military action.

According to a senior administration official, the pictures of the dead children, victims of the chemical attack on the civilian population in Syria, has made trump a very strong impression, and he felt compelled to act.

The United States began airstrikes in Syria in September 2014 when US President Barack Obama’s campaign, which United States-led coalition has been carrying out against ISIS (an organization banned in Russia — approx. ed.) but as targets they chose only the positions of this terrorist organization, not the Syrian government troops.

Before dinner with the Chinese President XI Jinping (Xi Jinping), held on Thursday in the estate of trump’s Mar-a-Lago, he held a meeting with his advisers on national security. During this meeting he decided to pull the trigger, launching the largest military operation during his tenure as a President, says our source.

When was this military operation, he had dinner with President XI.

According to officials, after the end of the dinner the two presidents, the Minister of defence of the USA James Mattis (James Mattis) kept trump on missile strikes in Syria.

At that time in Mar-a-Lago, along with trump were Mattis, Secretary Rex Tillerson (Rex Tillerson) and Advisor to trump on national security General McMaster (H. R. McMaster). Vice-President Mike Pence (Mike Pence) was in Washington at the White house, where he returned after dinner.

Order trump to attack the positions of Syrian government forces were given the next day after he said that a chemical attack (about the terrible consequences of which media reported around the world, broadcasting a video taken immediately after the attacks) “in my opinion, crossed the line,” and said that “obligated” to respond.

“I’ll tell you, this has already happened, and my attitude toward Syria and Assad has changed a lot,” said trump.

“When you kill innocent children, innocent babies, very young children poisonous gas that is so deadly that people were terrified, knowing that it was for gas, it’s already over the edge, and not just “red lines”, and many boundaries,” said trump.

The decision to trump to the missile attacks and to take the most important military operation for a short time of his stay in office was made nearly four years after the U.S. first concluded that Syrian forces used in Syria chemical weapons. The Obama administration has decided that Syria has crossed the “red line” that Obama outlined a year earlier during the discussion of the use of chemical weapons, but in the end he decided not to pursue military action against Syria, and instead decided to sign a Russian-brokered deal for the withdrawal of chemical weapons from that country.

Trump then declared that the United States should “stay away from Syria” and after a chemical attack 2013, posted in Twitter post, urging Obama “not to inflict strikes on Syria”.

“There is no benefit, but only huge minus”, — he wrote in September 2013.

During his presidential campaign, trump has repeatedly criticized Obama for what he has not fulfilled his threats when Assad crossed the “red line”, but the king estate is also opposed to the extension of US military intervention in Syria, in particular against Assad.

In a television interview in may last year, trump said that “will destroy ISIS”, but said that it did not support the idea of fighting the Assad regime, saying that the US has “a more serious problem than Assad.”

According to estimates of the United Nations, published a year ago, the civil war in Syria, continued for six years, claimed the lives of at least 400 thousand people. According to UN agencies, more than five million Syrians fled the country, and over six million were forced to leave their homes and move to other parts of the country.
