The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to expand the quantitative composition of the Supervisory Board (SB) of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” from 5 to 7 people. The decision was made at a meeting on Wednesday in Kiev.
“The draft resolution proposes to the General meeting of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” as the highest authority to decide on the organization of the activities of the national Assembly of “Naftogaz” for a new term … First: agree with the proposal to increase the quantitative composition of the national Assembly to 7 members instead of 5; take account of the outcome of the 2016 audit 3 independent SB members … the competitive selection 1 an independent member of the national Assembly, the nomination of the state representatives in the composition of the national Assembly. Second: approved the regulations on the principle of the formation of the national Assembly of the company, under which is a competitive selection process,” said first Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv, introducing the draft resolution.
He added that the document also provides for the easing of requirements for potential members in terms of experience in leadership positions (from 10 to 5 years).
Kubiv was reminded that the shareholders ‘ meeting, as required by law, should be held before April 30.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at today’s meeting approved the draft law on amendments to the law “On gas market” in terms of separation of activities of subjects of natural monopolies. The details of this document has not yet been voiced.
