The Minister of foreign Affairs of great Britain, Boris Johnson has postponed a planned trip to Russia over the postponement of the meeting of foreign Ministers of the NATO countries. This was reported in the office of the British Minister, according to Reuters, reports “Ukrainian truth”.
Johnson was supposed to visit Moscow to discuss the differences between the two countries about Syria and Ukraine. This will be the first visit of the foreign Minister of Britain for the past five years, after the deterioration of bilateral relations.
“We, alas, had to postpone the visit of the foreign Minister to Russia scheduled for this month, because of the postponement of the meeting of foreign Ministers of NATO”, – said the representative of the foreign office.
“The foreign Minister spoke with foreign Minister Lavrov and hopes as soon as possible to for a visit,” added the Minister.
A meeting of foreign Ministers of countries-members of NATO was moved from 5-6 April to 31 March in order to be able to participate state Secretary of the USA Rex Tillerson.
Johnson previously said that during a visit to Moscow to urge Russia to change its actions and to regain international confidence.
