The US President Donald trump said Friday that assured German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Washington’s commitment to NATO.
“I thanked Chancellor Merkel’s strong support for NATO, as well as the fact that our NATO allies should contribute” – he said during a jointly press conference with Merkel at the White house.
Merkel, in turn, welcomed the statement.
