Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy asked the heads of the committees to hold an urgent Committee meetings to develop proposals that will form the agenda of the sixth session of the Parliament. The Chairman of BP said at the meeting of the conciliation Board.
“I would like to say what the main units and topics were suggested by staff and our conciliation Council, which was held on Thursday this week. And so, among the proposals this week, the blocks that we still have from the previous week that we did not have time to consider. Among them, the cluster of environmental policy, issues of Informatization of local self-government, where we have a number of important bills that require decision-making and local communities are waiting for these decisions. This block of questions of agricultural policy, as well as issues of protection of rights of internally-displaced persons”, – said the speaker of Parliament.
However, according to Andriy Parubiy, the Verkhovna Rada would begin its work with the adoption of the agenda of the sixth session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. “Seven committees have not yet submitted their proposals and we have two ways: or committees during this day will quickly meet so we can tomorrow to have a complete list of all proposals or tomorrow it can be again the issue of approving the weekly agenda. Without the approval of the agenda of the session, it will be difficult to open a discussion. Because without approval, we can consider only questions of the second reading,” concluded Parubiy.
We will remind, on February 7, after a two-week break will be held the first plenary meeting of the regular session of the Verkhovna Rada. According to the schedule, which Parliament approved on January 17, it will last until July 21: 11 weeks MPs put to work in plenary mode, the seven — on work in committees and six for the activities in the districts.
