The Prime Ministers of the countries-participants GUAM (Organization for democracy and economic development) will meet on 27 February in Kiev. This was announced by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alexander Mishchenko.
“We hope that the meeting of the Prime Ministers of the countries-participants GUAM will take place on 27 February,” – said Mishchenko.
In the regional organization GUAM, which includes Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova.
The diplomat also reminded that in February this year, Azerbaijan and Ukraine have scheduled a meeting on military-technical cooperation, meetings of the interministerial working group on energy cooperation, as well as the parliamentary friendship group.
“The presidents instructed to hold sectoral meetings. The date of the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Ukraine depends on the outcome of these meetings. Once we established these areas, then the presidential administration will determine the date of the visit of President Aliyev. Here we have a plan for the first half of 2017,” he said.
Regarding the meeting of the Council of presidents, as reported by Mishchenko, it will discuss matters that require the approval of the heads of state.
We will remind, the Ukrainian delegation will meet with Azerbaijan on the issues of military-technical cooperationand discuss the possibility of supplying Ukraine with military technology.
Earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine is able to ensure its independence, and from the West waiting for support in forcing Russia to implement the Minsk agreements.
Also the Ukrainian head of state noted the necessity of increasing of export of Ukrainian weapons of its own production and development update program production Fund of defense companies.
