After a few months, the Ukrainians can come new bills on water. Service providers have already calculated how much need to pay Ukrainians for water with the increase in the minimum wage and higher electricity prices. How and when expensive water
The tariff for water supply expects each company separately. The tariff components one for all: depreciation, salaries, electricity, repairs, taxes, etc. the share of these components at each enterprise is different, it depends on hardware and network status, and the level of wages. The city Council approves the programme of development of the enterprise and considering the planned rate, the final decision of the national Commission of regulation of energy and utilities (NKREKU). The main requirement of the Commission rate must cover all costs of the enterprise and include depreciation.

In 2017, as stated in the presentation NKREKU, on average, for Ukrainians, the cold water will rise by 9%. Kyivvodokanal plans to raise the rate of 16.4%, the largest rise in prices is planned in the “Zhytomyrvodokanal” – 18.2%. At the same time in the southern water will rise by only 6.2%.
As explained in the Commission, businesses must submit applications to establish new tariffs up to August 10. After that NKREKU new tariffs approved. Almost all officials unanimously endorsed higher tariffs in their cities.

How to change the rate in some cities of Ukraine:
- “Kyivvodocanal” – from 10.29 to 11.38 USD per cubic meter
- “Zhytomyrvodokanal” – from 9.74 to 10.72 UAH per cubic meter
- “Chernigovvodokanal” – from 10.3 to 10.78 hryvnia per cubic meter
- “Piloroduodenal” – 12,26 to 16.85 UAH per cubic meter
Why is water more expensive
The main reason for the rise of water – the increase in the minimum wage two times. From the first of January, the salary of Ukrainians must be less 3200 USD. Companies had to revise the payroll, and additional costs to put in new rates.
At the same wages, according to the national Commission, the largest item of expenditure. For example, if the Ukrainians have spent on cold water 100 hryvnia, the 38.2 of the hryvnia will be spent on salaries of employees of the local “Vodokanal”, 27,4 hryvnia will be spent on light (the pumps are powered by electricity) and 21.2 of the hryvnia – for banking services, checking meters, 70 cents – for the payment of interest on loans, 4,5 hryvnia for repair of 6.5 hryvnia depreciation and 1.5 hryvnia in taxes and fees.
According to the head of the national Commission Dmitry Vovk, according to the approved depreciation of the Ukrainian companies will need 119 years in order to restore the emergency network. It is worth noting that from the cost of the cold water depends on the rate on the hot water. After the adoption of the national Commission of the new tariffs, the same request should apply to both providers of hot water.

In 2015 the national Commission decree №220 approved a gradual increase in the cost of electricity. The last stage falls on March of 2017. Now each kWh when the consumption is less than 100 kW is 71.4 cents, and the first of March – 90 cents. If consumption more than 100 kWh each kWh until March, worth 129 cents, and after Mar – 168 cents.
For example, if the family uses 200 kWh per month, until the first of March will have to pay for electricity to 200, 4 hryvnia, and after March 2017 – 258 hryvnia.
According to experts, this year should also rise in price and gas. Part of natural gas Ukraine imports from Europe, with the price of gas is formed according to import parity. As explained in the Ministry of economic development, the tariff for the population is determined by the formula: cost of imported gas × dollar exchange rate + VAT + transport + distribution + margin Naftogaz
In the current gas tariff includes the cost of thousand cubic meters of gas – $ 185. Thus, according to the draft budget for 2017, thousands of cubic meters of imported gas will cost $ 245. In addition, the increased and the dollar – buy gas in dollars but sell in UAH.
Member of the Supervisory Board of the Institute of energy strategies Yuri Korolchuk’m sure the government will have next year again to increase the price of gas. As calculated ex-the head of Department on public relations of “Naftogaz” Valentin Zemlyansky, gas, according to the formula of the Cabinet, this year will cost 9600 hryvnia per thousand cubic meters (currently 6800 UAH). At the same time, Yuri Korolchuk sure that the economically justified tariff for gas will grow next year at 25-60% (8.5-11 thousand UAH).
