U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry said during an interview on CNN that he does not consider Russian-American relations are bad in recent years, however, in his opinion, the problems were caused by the fault of the Russian leadership, reports “Correspondent”.
During the interview, Kerry was asked whether he shares the assessment of the elected President of the USA of Donald trump that if the Obama administration’s relations with Russia were bad.
“No, I don’t think it’s right, actually,” he said.
“They (relations – ed.) had problems and have been where Vladimir Putin has made the issue of Ukraine, Crimea, Syria,” − said Kerry.
He also recalled that the United States collaborated with Russia on a range of important global issues, particularly on the Iranian nuclear program, the elimination of chemical weapons in Syria, humanitarian and environmental protection.
Recall that Kerry called “inappropriate” statements trumpon immigration policies of Germany.
Earlier official representative of US state Department John Kirby said that Washington believes the current state of bilateral relations with Russia is critical.
