The US President-elect Donald trump has no plans for the immediate abolition of sanctions against Russia, but does not exclude it in the future, according to The Wall Street Journal reports.
In an interview, trump said that he intends to save by the administration of President Barack Obama’s sanctions “at least for a little while.”
Also the President-elect said: “if we get along and Russia is helping us, why would anyone keep the penalties if someone is doing wonderful things together.”
As reported, January 13, Obama extended for another year sanctions imposed against Russia over the situation in Crimea and Ukraine.
