The “modernizing” of pensions is one of the priority projects of the government, but for its implementation need an additional 30 to 40 billion UAH. This was stated by Vice-Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko in an interview with “Radio Liberty”.
“Of course, injustice in retirement we have. And this question of the so-called “modernization” of the pension. Today I can say that this will be one of the first projects of the government that we will try to implement in the social sphere in 2017. The modernizing of pensions, we need an additional 30 to 40 billion depending on the mechanisms of modernization, now we have two models,” – said Rozenko.
According to him, the Cabinet expects a positive for the Pension Fund, the effect of the increase of the minimal wage.
“PY hope for legalization, that raising the minimum wage to RS 3200 will give us additional resources to the Pension Fund. We will send it to first just in time for modernizing to level the situation in terms of pension provision for those people who have retired 7, 10, 15 years ago, and people who retire today”, – said Rozenko.
“Injustice is. We know about it. And, again, say that the programme of modernizing recorded in the plans of the government”, – summed up Vice-the Prime Minister.
