At a fraction of “servant of the people” believe that the dismissal of the NBU Governor Yakov Smoliy today will be supported by the Parliament. Comments about this site to “Today” reported the people’s Deputy from this political force Irina Vereschuk.
“At 14:00 scheduled an extraordinary plenary session of Parliament, and I think the resignation of the head of the NBU will be accepted. On factions we haven’t discussed this issue – how to vote. But what I’m hearing, communicating with colleagues, allows us to say that the vote will be positive. None no objection,” said she.
According to Irina Vereschuk, the position of parliamentarians is formed on the basis that resin has voluntarily resigned.
“This statement of his, he has the right to leave. We can’t force a person to remain on the job. It’s not a political statement of Mr. Vakarchuk, to which we could make political decisions. The national Bank – an independent regulator, the law of resignation appears as one of the grounds for the resignation. The President also supported the idea. As reported “Today”, the current head of the NBU wrote a resignation letter in which he complained of political pressure, but did not elaborate on what exactly it. Later Smoliy said that he had in mind under political pressure.
Also Irina Vereschuk called us the possible candidates to replace the Smoliy. There is one very real and three unlikely options.
