Shift change at the station “Akademik Vernadsky” was the longest in history
In Ukraine returned to the participants of the wintering team squad of 24-th Ukrainian Antarctic expedition. They are almost 13 months worked at the station “Akademik Vernadsky”, while 25 Ukrainian expedition has already reached the station. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine.
Explorers of the 24th expedition, has arrived today, may 17, at the airport “Borispol” evacuation flight from Lisbon. Along with them came the participants of the seasonal team who worked on the station for three months. Now all arrivals must spend two weeks in isolation due to a pandemic coronavirus.
